Coupons (again), LOFT, etc.

Just because I recycled some coupons -- it doesn't mean I'm out of the game. Tonight I spent $14.44 at Target but saved $7.72. Not bad!

It really is like a game to me. Since I'm not good at couponing yet, something I do is keep my Target & Walmart receipts in a notebook for a while. When I find coupons for things I've already purchased, I take the receipt and the coupons to the customer service counter to get my money back. Tonight I got $2.50 back at Target on things I had previously purchased. Oh yes, I'm that girl.

Walmart allows that (using coupons on previous purchases) -- and my experience has been that they typically don't even look at my receipt. Target technically doesn't allow it (they don't do price adjustments), and I'm pretty sure the letter of the law is that you have to return the item and then re-buy it off the shelf [they aren't supposed to sell the same item back to you at the Customer Service counter -- I guess they figure if they make it harder, people won't do it. Clearly, they don't know me :)]. But most Target employees don't seem to care, which makes me happy!

Speaking of good deals, I also got two really cute ruffly tank tops at LOFT tonight for $12 each. 30% off clearance items and then an additional 30% off that! The original price was $34.50 each. I'm not sure who would pay that much for a tank top, but it's safe to say I wouldn't!

And speaking of LOFT, they have such a cute spring line. I am really tempted to go on a shopping spree, but I'm not quite ready to work the extra hours to fund that shopping spree. For now, I'll just admire all of Jessica Schroeder's LOFT-inspired outfits. If you've never checked out Jessica's blog, What I Wore, I think it's cute. I wouldn't have the guts to photograph myself every day (nor would anyone be interested in what I wear each day, as I'm nowhere near as stylish as she is), but she's super cute and her blog is starting to get more recognition (hence the LOFT sponsorship). The salesperson at LOFT tonight had no clue what I was talking about when I mentioned Jessica's blog, but I'm sure the LOFT powers-that-be would be thrilled to know that their advertising is working!

Here's one of my favorite outfits she's come up with so far:

By the way, I've been totally tempted to email Jessica about some of the consistent typos on her blog, but so far I've resisted. Do you think she'd want to know?!

Ok, got to go. You know the drill: Bones, brush teeth, bed!

I love LOFT! My best purchase there recently was a pair of creme pants (dressy...at least for me) that were on clearance big time~$4.97. I think they were originally around $78. Wow.

Say something...
