Kroger Deals

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

I got a few good deals at Kroger tonight. The first price is what I paid, not including tax. The price in parentheses is what it would've been without coupons and/or a Kroger plus card.

Lea & Perrins Thick Classic Worcestershire Sauce - $0.44 ($3.39)
All Oxi-Active Detergent [28 loads] - $0.99 ($4.99)
Finesse Shampoo - $0.44 ($3.37)
Snuggle Dryer Sheets - FREE ($4.59)
Qtips [500 count] - $1.90 ($3.76) - not the best deal, but not bad!
Gilette Shaving Gel - $0.99 ($2.87)
Excedrin [24 count] - $0.99 (3.99)

I bought a good amount of things with no coupons at all. Sad, but I want to make taco soup soon so I can stop eating Raisin Bran for dinner. (Come home soon, hubs!) My total went from $60.38 before coupons to $32.87 after it was all said and done. $24.76 of that was food ingredients that I wanted/needed and didn't have coupons for at all. So really, in terms of couponing goals, I got $35.62 worth of merchandise for $8.11. Yay!

I stopped at CVS on the way home to try to get three bottles of Gilette body wash for free plus a $4 rebate (I love money makers!), but they were out of it. Apparently I wasn't the only one who wanted that deal. :)

Ok, so are these updates totally boring, or do you find it interesting to read about coupon deals? I'm curious!

I love/hate reading about your coupon deals. Half of me wants to rush out and spend money to save money and half of me wants to find the coupons you found. I'm always impressed with your deals and savings. However I was impressed when I bought a cake mix and icing for $1.55 at Kroger because I had a coupon and a Kroger card.

I deleted my comment because I wanted to add... The only reason I 'hate' reading about your coupon deals is I am super jealous and wish I paid more attention to coupons and store deals to save more money. So I don't really hate reading about them, its encouraging.

I totally understand, Kara! Just keep in mind - the only reason I find good deals like these is because of coupon websites like MSM and now the Grocery Game. I totally don't have time to stalk store deals and organize coupons... that's why I'm willing to pay a little bit to have someone do it for me. :)

I spent a lot of time today searching but didn't find much. Kroger has Sea Cuisine fillets on sale BOGO and I found a coupon for $1 off, so if I can print two of those I can get a pretty good deal.

Did you go to the CVS near us? We haven't had much luck there at all. In Naples, some CVS stores were way better than others. So if you have time, try some other stores. I have not been able to keep up on CVS deals but I am out of virtually every toiletry item so I need to get back on it! Thanks for the encouragement.

Say something...
