Old & New

Out with the old; in with the new!

I asked Alicia to come over tonight and take a picture for me so I could blog about my new teapot. That turned into a full-fledged photo shoot in my little kitchen -- at 9:30 p.m., mind you. She even brought props.

I'll tell you what, I am really going to miss Ethel when we don't live right next door to each other!

While we chatted and she took pictures (I had 19 options to choose from upon completion; have I mentioned how amazing she is?), I scrubbed down the top of my refrigerator and cleaned out the ceiling light globe. {I've been meaning to do that forlikeever -- it had dust/grease/bugs caked on the inside -- even more than I could see from the floor -- so gross!}

At any rate, we were respectively very productive. And don't you think this new teapot is twice as big as my old one? It's even kinda cute, too. ;)

How is the side of your refrigerator so clean? I struggle with that. It was so dirty when we moved in and now the grease and grime just sticks to the grease and grime.

Lots of scrubbing. Three years of scrubbing. That's how anything in my apartment is clean. ;)

But seriously -- I use green brillo-type pads (Target brand) and cleaner with grease/grime fighter in it. I might've also resorted to goo-b-gone at one point... can't remember! But enough scrubbing and it finally does come off. Same with our stove hood. It was NASTY -- sticky, grimy, etc. Now it is happy & clean!

Small steps. Tackle one project at a time, or you will get overwhelmed. At least I do!

I want one! It looks like it is made to fit plenty of water to make tea for company :)

Let's not even talk about our stove hood.

I have some of those green Brillo pads. Maybe someday...
