Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder?

Friday, June 25, 2010

Well, it's been over a week since I've blogged.

I want to blog... but with pictures. Good ones. But I don't take good pictures. And neither does my camera.

So I'm thinking about saving up for a new camera. And then having Ethel teach me how to use it.

In the meantime, isn't this picture funny? Wes snapped it in Turkey.

We're in Charleston for the weekend... today has been a full day of doing nothing. My favorite kind of day! I'll work three days next week and then we'll head to the beach. And then we'll come back and I'll get an iPhone (!!!). And then my mom will come down for a week, which will be great.

Fun times ahead, dear friends. Fun times. :)

If you were going to buy a camera, what kind would you buy? Ethel says that the iPhone camera is actually pretty good. I am anxious to see if she's right!

I have this camera and I LOVE IT: http://www.target.com/Canon-PowerShot-12-1MP-Digital-Camera/dp/B0035FZJKS/ref=sc_qi_detailbutton

I got it as a present from the parents of the girls I babysat in college and it takes really sharp, great pictures. The only slightly negative thing I would say about it is it helps if you have a little knowledge of photography, because sometimes the "auto" setting overcompensates with the flash (but I think that's pretty typical of all point and shoot type cameras). You can easily compensate by changing the settings for indoor flash pictures.

If you look at my blog, most of the pictures on there are from that camera (except the earliest ones).

Say something...
