This is why I'm fat.

I want to save my Weight Watchers commentary for Sunday... complete a full week first. But let me just say this: it is HARD.

{Hey, I started Weight Watchers last Sunday! So fun!}

I get 21 points per day. To put that in perspective:

-My favorite burrito from Qdoba? 22 points. {Chicken, pinto beans, lettuce, cheese, sour cream. No cheese -- a concession I'm willing to make -- makes it 20. So much better.}

-My favorite meal from Jimmy John's? 16 points. {Turkey, lettuce, mayo; bbq chips}

-My favorite dish at Applebees? With no side item or dipping sauce? 25 points!!! {Chicken Fajita Rollup. 60 grams of fat. Are you kidding me?!}

No wonder I'm fat.

I hope I see results quickly, or I might get discouraged. But I'm sure it will work, if I can stick with it! {Right?!}

That's all for now.....

Doing WW certainly makes you start thinking of how you're "spending calories." You'll get the hang of it and realize those meals aren't worth it. You'll save money too not eating out! I have a great, great WW cookbook you are more than welcome to borrow. It's our most often used cookbook and we haven't ever officially done WW. But my mom lost 50 pounds on it so be encouraged! said...

Seriously Beth, you're going to see results. And I'll probably follow in your (lighter) footsteps.

You're being so diligent. Amazing willpower!!

Think of it this way: You'll never look at food the same way will change your eating habits which is good in the long run! I used to think that if I worked out I could eat whatever I wanted...but after pregnancy and as I get older, maintaining a healthy lifestyle means eating healthy too!

BUT! There's always room for cheating every once in a while...that's why God gave us taste buds :)

P.S. Eating healthy and exercise go hand in hand with weight loss :) If you ever need a workout buddy: I'm doing Insanity for the next 46 days. It will whip you into shape pronto! :)

Hey Beth! I've been doing Weight Watchers since September 2007, and while it's hard it's definitely worth it! Everyone else's comments here are right on, too. Just stick with it! You CAN do it!!! Also, if you're looking for a fun activity, try Zumba. It is SO great, and hardly feels like exercising at all. You earn about 6 points for an hour class, too!

BTW--Weight Watchers 1 point fudge bars are a LIFESAVER! :)

Okay, A)You're not fat! and B)it will get better! I lost 30 something pounds on WW before I became pregnant with Isaiah. One thing that I found that really helps is eating half of your meal and saving the other half for later. Sometimes I would even ask for a "to go" box when I ordered my meal. I would put half of my meal in the box right off the bat and then eat the other half.

Also, when I was doing Water Aerobics at the Seminary, I was losing 3+ lbs a week! It makes it all worth it. :)

Oooh water aerobics would be awesome! No sweatiness and no hurting joints. Maybe one of these days I can do a fitness class with you, once Josiah isn't nursing 24/7.

Sarah is always looking for a water aerobics partner and I keep telling her 'no'. You should call her!!!

Say something...
