A Clean Kitchen

Thursday, May 5, 2011

As I was getting ready for bed tonight, I walked into the kitchen and put my glass in the sink, stacking it against the dirty dishes that were already there. I thought, "I'll just do these in the morning," turned off the light, and walked out.

Who was I kidding? I immediately turned back around and began the task I briefly thought about putting knew I shouldn't put off. Putting away the dry dishes, washing the clean ones, and wiping down the countertops & stove took me a total of three minutes. I won't miss those three minutes tonight. And tomorrow morning I will walk peacefully into my {mostly} clean kitchen, thankful for a fresh start to the day.

That's all I've got tonight... a clean kitchen and a mind that ponders an ever-present thought: why do I leave for tomorrow what can be done {and what can usually be done so easily} today?

Say something...
