Goodbye, K

Tonight I said goodbye to one of my dearest & best friends.

Kirstin & I met in the fall of 2007. Her husband, Joseph, and I had been on summer project together {with Campus Crusade} in 2004. Joe found me on facebook after we both moved to Louisville & suggested that we get together, with our spouses, for dinner one night. Kirstin & I hit it off, and the rest, as they say, is history.

When Wes and I moved to Louisville, we knew it would be temporary. But we also knew it would be four years of temporary. That's a long time. Now four years have passed and our time here is drawing to a close. It's hard to comprehend.

First Casey & Alicia left. Then Laura & David. More recently, girl Casey & Braden. Now Kirstin & Joe. Soon Kelly & Brandon will go. I joke with Wes that it will be easier for us to move next summer because we won't have any friends left in Louisville. But I'm not really joking!

Kirstin, we've been through so much together. Several apartments {well... at least you've been through several. ha!}, new jobs, family emergencies, lunch dates, massages, TV-watching fests, and more pedicures than I can count. Seriously, who is going to get a pedicure with me every month? It makes me sad just to think about it.

Remember when we STRIPEd together?

Remember when you & Joe helped us bring our new couch home?

Remember when I painted my furniture in your garage? And it took forever? :)

So many good memories.

I'll miss you, sweet friend. More than you know. I'm grateful for the time we've had together in Louisville. You are, and always will be, a part of my heart. I love you!
