Peaceful Saturday

Saturday, June 23, 2012

I'm all wrapped up in a blanket; it's Saturday morning. It's peaceful -- the only sound I hear is a fan running in our bedroom. I just ate some cereal, which is rare for me. I don't usually buy it. I'm putting off doing laundry, which is also rare for me. I don't usually mind it.

Hubs is outside tending to his garden. So far he's had a very small crop.

I'm not really a gardening type of person, but I enjoy the idea of it. I love that we have one -- and, to be honest, that I'm not involved. :)

We've had an indoor compost container for a while now, but recently hubs set up an actual compost bin à la John and Sherry, and we're enjoying it. It was super easy to do, and I know he's hopeful that the soil will help his garden. Also, it's quite nice not to have to take out the trash as often [no food in the trash = trash that doesn't smell bad]. We hid the bin from neighborhood children & Village Manor's maintenance staff. So far we're in the clear!

I hope your Saturday is relaxing & peaceful, as Saturdays should be {but somehow rarely are}. Enjoy the weekend!
